School - Upper School Subjects
Calculus extends the theory and technique of differential and integral calculus first studied in Introductory Calculus, and combines them with the trigonometric and vector methods of Geometry and Trigonometry.
Desirable background for Calculus is the successful completion of both Introductory Calculus and Geometry and Trigonometry. However, it is possible to study Geometry and Trigonometry and Calculus concurrently, after the successful completion of Introductory Calculus.
Calculus is a Tertiary Entrance Score course and it will be invaluable to those students proceeding to tertiary studies in the more mathematically oriented courses.
Year 12 – E506
Prerequisite: Consult with Head of Learning Area.
Homework / Home Study Requirements: A minimum of 3 hours per week.
