School - Upper School Subjects
Chemistry is concerned with the physical and chemical properties of substances, the nature of matter, and the study of reactions and processes.
It develops an appreciation of the impact of chemistry on our lives and to develop skills in problem solving, decision making and forming generalisations. The course will provide a basis for students to study tertiary science. It is also valuable for those who do not intend to proceed with Science at a tertiary level.

- Organic Chemistry
- Inorganic Chemistry
Chemistry E403 covers the same content areas as year 11, but in greater breadth and depth. It provides the necessary background for those students intending to study Chemistry at a tertiary level.
Year 11 – D403
Prerequisite: Level 5/6 in the Natural and Processed Materials outcome.
Homework / Home Study Requirements: A minimum of 3 hours per week.
Year 12 – E403
List 2
Prerequisite: It is highly recommended that a grade of A, B or C be attained in Year 11 Chemistry.
Homework / Home Study Requirements: A minimum of 3 hours per week.
