School - Upper School Subjects
Geometry and Trigonometry provides a consolidation and extension of algebraic, geometric and trigonometrical skills and introduces ideas of vector methods to solve problems. It is intended for students with a strong mathematics background intending to pursue tertiary studies in mathematically and scientifically oriented fields.Students intending to select Geometry and Trigonometry will require a very sound understanding of the concepts covered in Year 10 Pathway 1
Students who successfully complete Geometry and Trigonometry and Introductory Calculus can proceed with year 12 Calculus.
Note: Successful completion of Year 10 Pathway 1 Maths is not a guarantee of success in this course. All post Year 11 and 12 courses are demanding and to be successful, students need to be committed to constant revision regardless of Year 10 achievement.

Prerequisite: Level 6 in Algebra and Measurement Strands in Year 10.
Homework / Home Study Requirements: A minimum of 3 hours per week.
