School - Upper School Subjects
This subject aims to further develop students’ ability to communicate in Japanese, both orally and in writing. It also aims to broaden their knowledge and appreciation of the Japanese culture and way of life.Students typically engage in a range of activities and are exposed to a variety of simple authentic modes of spoken and written Japanese in order to develop greater confidence and fluency in using language in different contexts.
The subject integrates linguistic and cultural components by focussing on the following topics:-
- Food and drink
- My family and I
- Daily life (and school routine)
- Health, sport and leisure
Prerequisite: Working at Level 4 in all Strands in Year 10.
Homework / Home Study Requirements: A minimum of 3 hours per week.
