Mathematics in Practice provides students with relevant and rewarding preparation for post school situations in which mathematics is needed. It offers a range of topics which provide opportunities to solve problems by modelling situations arising from social or physical environments.Desirable background for Mathematics in Practice is a sound knowledge of the work completed in Year 10 Pathway 3.
Successful completion of Mathematics in Practice provides background for Modelling with Mathematics and Foundations of Mathematics.
