School - Upper School Subjects
The units in this course focus on Music Traditions and Influences in the first semester and Music of Identity and Change in the second. These units are recommended for students who have completed Year 10 Music and are instrumental students.Students will listen to, analyse and compare examples of a variety of music styles in class tasks and research tasks. From this, students will learn how music is an integral part of personal, community, cultural and national identity.
Students will also perform music and compose their own music works in groups, developing their own ideas and applying their understandings and skills.
