It is expected that students will do homework.
If they are not bringing any home it is important that you get them into the habit of going through the work they do at school, reading through it and filing it neatly.
The Maths, English, Science, Society and Environment subjects all require the students to submit assigned work which can be completed to a higher level if worked on out of school.

It is also important that you monitor what they are doing. We find that students often waste a lot of time on computers playing games and on social sites when they should be working.
If they are not bringing homework home encourage them to read and write during the time set aside for this. Provide them with a quiet space where they are undisturbed.
Please ensure they come to school every day with adequate materials especially pens and paper, and that they can find their work in their school bag easily.

- Year 8 do at least 30 minutes work a night
- Year 9 do an hour a night
- Year 10 do an hour and a half a night
- Senior Students do 2 or more hours a night during the week.
