Schoolwear is defined as those items of clothing which are approved by the School Council for wearing to school and are listed below. Students are expected to wear the school uniform and appropriate footwear at all times. If a student persists in not wearing approved clothing or footwear the school will be required to take action to ensure that the uniform policy is being observed..
Tops:
Students will be required to wear an approved top at all times. These include the navy or white polo shirt, the rugby jumper or the polo fleece jumper.
Bottoms:
Student will be required to wear approved pants or skirts at all times. These include girls’ pants, ¾ shorts and drop waist skirts and boys’ shorts and trousers. Boardshorts are not acceptable.
Summer Dress:
As the name suggests, this school uniform alternative is acceptable to be worn during Terms 1 and 4 only.
Footwear:
All footwear must be protective of the foot for the environment being entered, eg: workshops, laboratories, kitchens. All footwear must be attached to the foot at all times. Hence, footwear is either fully enclosed or inclusive of heel straps. Specialised protective footwear may be a requirement for some VET courses. Thongs, slides or half shoes and ugg boots are not acceptable footwear.
Tracksuits:
The official school tracksuit, as worn at sporting events, may be worn as regular schoolwear. It is acceptable that the jacket and the pants be worn separately.
Physical Education Clothing:
All students will change into the approved Physical Education schoolwear when participating in Physical Education classes. Physical Education wear is NOT approved for regular daywear.
Special Clothing:
Some sporting teams, classes or other groups may choose to develop an item of clothing that is specific to their needs or as an alternative to the school uniform. These alternatives need to be given approval by the uniform committee in order to accepted as ‘uniform’.
