School - Programs

This popular course provides students with a broad base of employable skills in the Building and Construction, Metals Fabrication and Engineering, Furniture Production, Drafting and Automotive areas which prepares them for apprenticeships and traineeships and employment in associated industries.

The students also learn about the world of work and are equipped with skills to make the transfer between secondary school and employment a smooth transition. In addition to the subjects listed below, students are given the opportunity to complete national qualifications in the form of a Certificate I MEM10198 in Engineering a Certificate II in Engineering Production MEM20198 and a Certificate I in Automotive.

The students gain a wealth of knowledge and experience through their involvement in the Structured Workplace Learning Program. This means that they spend 4 days a week at school and one day a week in the workplace. This course has been responsible for a huge number of students from this school who are currently a successful part of our workforce.
