School - Upper School Subjects
Applicable Mathematics features the solution of equations using matrix, graphical and numerical techniques, together with work on statistics and probability. The section on probability provides the framework for future studies of statistical inference.
Applicable Mathematics is a Tertiary Entrance Score course and it will be invaluable for those students proceeding to tertiary studies in courses where skill in statistical techniques or the solution of equations is essential.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Introductory Calculus.
Homework / Home Study Requirements: A minimum of 3 hours per week.
